Stress

Stress is like pressure on the body and the mind. Though stress can often seem like a bad thing, there can be good stress, the type that keeps us alert.

It’s all about keeping a balance. When stress becomes too much to handle it affects our body, mental health, and emotions. We have symptoms such as tiredness, depression, lack of motivation and anxiety.

Step away - and try to find a way to Park your stress. Put it aside, and focus on something positive, pleasant, and encouraging.

This is how new solutions appear.

Anxiety

Anxiety can often feel like a constant sense of worry, nervousness, or unease about something. Anxiety grows from long-term stress, which can be school, friends, family etc.

At the time we might not know where it comes from. It can be many things, including past experiences, current life situations, physical or mental health. We need to know that it can be managed when broken down into smaller pieces. Talk it through with someone you can trust.

A problem shared

with the right person,

is a problem halved.

Depression

Depression is more than simply feeling unhappy or fed up for a few days. Depression is a real illness with real symptoms that can last for quite some time.

It isn't a sign of weakness or something you can snap out of by just pulling yourself together; but by beginning to understand and recognise things the way they are. This way you can begin to take a step forward. It often helps when we talk to someone.

If there's something you don't like,

then change it.

If you can't change it,

then change how you feel about it.
